This course exposes students to the following: the ultra-structure of eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells; the structure of cell membranes and the transport of materials across membranes; the structure of chromosomes, the cell cycle, and nuclear and cell division; and cells as the basic units of living organisms, grouped into tissues and organs.
